What is ChatGPT?

ChatGPT is a hot chat conversation bot launched by OpenAI, an AI chat conversation tool built on the OpenAI-developedGPT-4language model on which it can execute variousNatural Language Processing (NLP)Tasks such as summarizing, categorizing, questioning and answering, and error correction with human-like responses.ChatGPT is a revolutionary technology that makes people's lives easier by taking their productivity to a new level.

Who developed ChatGPT?

The ChatGPT AI chatbot is developed and owned by OpenAI, which Elon Musk and Sam Altman founded as a nonprofit in 2015.In 2018, Musk pulled out of OpenAI and no longer owns a stake in it. Initially, the company received $1 billion from Silicon Valley venture capitalists to start buildingneural network.

In 2019, OpenAI raised a $1 billion second round of funding from Microsoft. They started using Azure supercomputers to build these large-scale language models. Fast-forward to 2023, and Microsoft invested $10 billion in OpenAI, bringing its total stake to 491 TP3 T. Other investors, including Khosla Ventures, accounted for another 491 TP3 T, while OpenAI retained only 21 TP3 T in equity.

How ChatGPT works

AI chatbots have been around since before ChatGPT, but since they weren't conversational, they didn't get a lot of general attention. And in 2017, Google introduced a neural network architecture called The Transformer in their paper Attention is All You Need, which created a trainingLarge Language Model (LLM)The Paradigm Shift.

Compared to other neural networks, Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) and Long Short Term Memory Networks (LSTM) are not as good as Transformer Networks.RNNs have problems with long term dependency and LSTMs are unable to focus on the correct word in a long sentence to get the correct output.

Whereas Transformer networks change the way language models are trained, instead of processing one word at a time like RNNs, Transformer can inject the entire input at once. In addition, Transformer allows multiple inputs to be run in parallel, reducing computational cost and making training faster.

Realizing the potential of Transformer, OpenAI decided to utilize the Transformer network and train the data according to its architecture. The training process for these models consists of three main steps: generative pre-training, supervised fine-tuning,Reinforcement Learning Based on Human Feedback (RLHF).

How to use ChatGPT

ChatGPT has a basic version that can be used for free, to use ChatGPT you just need to visit their official website (https://chat.openai.com/chat), there is no need to download, just go to the ChatGPT page and sign in, you can choose to register by email or sign in with your Google or Microsoft account.

ChatGPT's web interface is easy to use for all users. The display interface consists of a text box for the user to enter a query and an area to display the results. After entering your text prompt, you will then receive a response message back from ChatGPT.
